Missoula, Mont. –  May 14, 2024 – NorthWestern Energy will donate $7,500 to the Missoula Children’s Theatre Center for the Performing Arts LED lighting upgrade project.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre facility includes a 300-seat theater, a lobby, conference room, meeting area and classroom space.

LED lights use 50% less energy and last longer than traditional lighting. LED lights can also offer features such as automated color changes.

NorthWestern Energy Community Relations Manager Todd Rahr presents a donation to Missoula Children’s Theatre Executive Director Mike Morelli for the LED lighting upgrade project.

“This LED lighting upgrade project helps the Missoula Children’s Theatre be good stewards of the environment and their resources,” said NorthWestern Energy Community Relations Manager Todd Rahr. “We enthusiastically said yes when asked by First Security Bank to partner with them to fund the LED light upgrade. The Missoula Children’s Theatre makes our community a better place for residents of all ages.”

“We are so grateful for the support of NorthWestern Energy and First Security Bank to upgrade our Cyclorama lights to a new LED system,” said Missoula Children’s Theatre Executive Director Mike Morelli. “These lighting improvements are creating a more immersive experience for our theatre patrons through vibrant lighting color options. Plus, we’ll have impactful savings from our reduced energy that we can refocus on our mission – building lifelong skills through the performing arts. Thank you!”

NorthWestern Energy donated more than $490,000 last year to organizations in the communities we serve.
