We’re now offering more flexibility in how you can be notified when your power is out or when your bill is ready.

How do I sign up for NorthWestern Energy notifications?

- Login to My Energy Account.
- Select “Notifications” from the menu.

- Select which notifications you would like to receive.

- Use the drop-down menu to set notification preferences for email and text.
- Click "update info" if the email address or mobile number is incorrect.
You can now subscribe to specific notifications from NorthWestern Energy, and select how you want to hear from us:
- Outage alerts (email, text or both) – This includes receiving a notification when your power is out and when it is restored.
- Billing and payment notifications (email, text or both) – You can choose to receive a notification when your bill is ready, when a payment is due, when a payment has been received and more.
- Friends and family (email, text or both) – In addition to having notifications sent to yourself, you can also select up to two friends or family members to receive notifications as well. For example, you may want your spouse or roommate to receive an email when a payment is due. Or you can designate a friend to get an alert if your power goes out.
- Company news and events (email only) – Stay up to date on the latest news from NorthWestern Energy, including energy efficiency tips, rebate programs and more.
