As of November 1, 2022, NorthWestern Energy has assumed ownership and operations of Sleepy Hollow Oil & Gas to serve natural gas customers in the Winifred, Hilger and Lewistown areas.

- Customer Contact Center to respond to gas emergency inquiries
- Monthly meter reading services that will be used for billing purposes
- New Service Connects
NorthWestern Energy's acquisition of Sleepy Hollow Oil and Gas
- Sleepy Hollow Oil and Gas LLC was a Montana company, a subsidiary of OsAir Inc., an Ohio company.
- Sleepy Hollow served roughly 150 Winifred and Hilger area residences, several businesses and a new school building in Winifred with natural gas service.
- OsAir Inc. is in bankruptcy and the company’s assets are being liquidated.
- The Receiver for the dissolution of OsAir Inc., appointed in late December 2021, worked to find a buyer for Sleepy Hollow Oil and Gas.
- If an operator for Sleepy Hollow Oil and Gas LLC was not found and the natural gas system was shut down, it could not simply be reactivated and the 180 customers would lose natural gas service.
Customer safety is our number one priority. If you smell natural gas:
- Leave the area immediately.
- Don’t create a spark by using phones, matches, light switches or anything else that could trigger the ignition of gas.
- When you are a safe distance, call 911.
