Economic Development is a marathon, not a sprint.
Economic Development is a marathon, not a sprint.
Simply, development does not happen overnight. This economic development division of the City of Kimball will make every effort to assist current local businesses to maintain, expand and prosper with the introduction of our BR&E (business, retention and expansion) programs.
We will pursue new businesses to consider Kimball for their business location whether an established business interested in relocating to South Dakota to take advantage of our no state or corporate income tax benefit, or a start-up business looking for the support of a loyal and solid community.
Here to Help
There are many programs available from GOED (Governors Office of Economic Development), ABC (Area Business Council) and the Small Business Development Office located in Yankton under the District III Planning Commission.
These programs range from financial support and loan programs to business consultation for new businesses needing a business plan and SWOT analysis. Most of these services are free to businesses in South Dakota. Take advantage of the services being offered.
