The Missoula City Substation #1 is a key infrastructure facility located in downtown Missoula, adjacent to Caras Park. A total rebuild of the substation was completed in 2023. The need for the rebuild was to provide improved reliability and increased capacity necessary to serve the growing areas of downtown and the university district into the future.
This substation has been in continuous service since the 1920s.
