We know how important benefits are for you and your family. That's why NorthWestern Energy is committed to offering competitive, comprehensive benefits that support you and your family.

Our benefits are designed to energize your life by focusing on four wellbeing categories - physical, mental, social and financial wellbeing. Our programs are designed to provide you peace of mind and protect you and your loved ones. Benefits for represented employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) may differ and are established by the terms of the applicable CBA.

Choosing your benefits takes careful thought and planning. This Benefits Showcase will help you learn about the benefits available to you and your family.

Enrollment

Open enrollment is from Nov. 3 through Nov. 16, 2025. Check out the 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment Video for an overview of new benefits, plan changes and to learn what steps you need to complete during open enrollment. 

This is your opportunity to make changes to your current health benefit elections for the new year. Benefit changes made during open enrollment will become effective Jan. 1, 2026.

As a new hire, you are eligible to enroll for benefits that will be effective on the first day of the month following your hire date. New hire enrollment must be completed within 31 days following the first day of the month after you're hired.

During enrollment you may:

  • Enroll or re-enroll
  • Make changes to your benefits
  • Add or remove dependents
  • Enroll in healthcare and/or dependent care flexible spending account(s)

This Benefits Showcase will be available to you on demand all year. Take some time to review this information and return to this site whenever you or your family members have questions or want to review your benefits.
